The Baylor Health Care System Foundation team strives to serve donors in their philanthropic efforts to help Baylor achieve its mission to serve all people through exemplary health care, education, research and community service.

FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP

Rowland K. Robinson

President
Rowland (Robin) K. Robinson is president of the Baylor Health Care System Foundation. The Foundation provides financial assistance in support of clinical initiatives, advanced research, equipment, technology, new construction and medical education to better serve the citizens of North Texas. Robin joined the Foundation in 2006, bringing with him a wealth of experience and leadership.

Susan McSherry

Vice President
Susan McSherry is vice president of development at the Foundation, where she leads all operating activities that support frontline fundraising initiatives, including donor relations and planned giving. A graduate of The University of Texas with more than 25 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and client relations roles, she most recently served as managing partner of Stephan Pyles Caters. In 2007, Susan served as president of the Junior League of Dallas and is an active member in Crystal Charity Ball.

Jamie Malcolm

Director
Jamie Malcolm was recruited to join the Foundation in 2006 and has more than seven years of development experience as the director of prospect research. In her role, she oversees the major gift process and performance objectives in addition to identifying new donors and maintaining donor data. A native of Michigan, Jamie earned her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan-Flint and went on to earn her master’s degree from the University of North Texas.

Amy M. Martin

VP, Finance
Amy Martin is the vice president of finance for the Foundation. Before coming to Baylor, Amy spent 12 years in public accounting, working in a variety of industries but focusing primarily on health care and consumer products. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting at Oklahoma State University and a master’s in business administration from Baylor University. She and her husband, Jim, have two children.

Jennifer Massey

Director
Jennifer Massey, who joined the Foundation in 2005, has taken on a new role as director of administration where she oversees stewardship initiatives, donor loyalty programs, donor recognition and service line strategy.Jennifer graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University in San Marcos. She and her husband, Dane, are parents to two young boys.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Lindalyn Adams

Lindalyn Adams is an officer for the Foundation who has helped coordinate the Celebrating Women breast cancer awareness event since its inception in 2000. The luncheon annually raises close to $2 million, with a total of more than $19 million in the past 14 years. She is also an avid community volunteer, working to preserve the history of Dallas. For her efforts, she has received numerous awards, including the Linz Award, Dallas’ most prestigious award for volunteer service. Lindalyn was married to the late Reuben Adams, M.D., chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor, for 51 years. Together they had three sons and 10 grandchildren.

David Burgher

David Burgher’s career has taken him to many places but he feels his latest stop at Baylor Health Care System Foundation was the result of a higher calling. “I am convinced that the Lord sent me here for His purposes,” David said. Nearly 21 years later, that kind of faith plays an even greater role in his daily work.

Sarah Burdi

Sarah Burdi is a development director for the Foundation who is responsible for oncology and research initiatives and Baylor’s community hospitals in Carrollton, Grapevine and Plano. Sarah joined the Foundation after six years as assistant vice president with the Inova Healthcare Foundation in Virginia, where she directed a fundraising program that raised more than $68 million in six years. Sarah is married to Tom, vice president with Equity Office Properties. Together, they are the parents of two children

Melissa Dalton

Melissa Dalton is a development officer responsible for fundraising for transplant, dermatology and women’s and children’s initiatives, as well as Baylor community hospitals in Garland and Waxahachie. She came to the Foundation from John B. Cummings Company, where she was primarily responsible for coordinating campaign activities. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Texas A&M.

Elizabeth Denton

Elizabeth Denton is a development director for the Foundation whose primary areas of focus for the Foundation include heart and vascular, mission and ministry, digestive diseases, medical education and the Baylor Medical Center at McKinney. Elizabeth came to the Foundation after a successful 22-year fundraising career, primarily in public higher education. Before coming to Baylor, she was assistant vice president of development at the University of North Texas, where she provided oversight for fundraising initiatives for 10 of the 12 colleges, as well as athletics and student affairs. Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a master’s degree in communication studies from Texas Tech University.

Cynthia Krause

Cynthia Krause serves as vice president of gift planning. As an attorney, she has worked in the field of charitable gift planning with nonprofit organizations, individuals, families and family foundations for more than 20 years. She is the former president of Wilson & Krause, a philanthropic and family advisory services firm. Cynthia’s husband, David, is president and chief executive officer of the Parkland Foundation. Together, they have three children.

Amy McNabb Monday

Amy McNabb Monday came to the Foundation from the University of North Texas, where she worked for 11 years in UNT’s Office of Advancement. As Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at UNT, she developed strategies to secure philanthropic grant funding for the university and provided grant writing oversight. At Baylor, she is responsible for securing grants from private foundations and corporations. She is also responsible for initiatives related to the Diabetes Health and Wellness Institute, Baylor Community Care Clinics, and the BHCS Institute for Health Care Research and Improvement. Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Florida.

Tim Moore

Tim joined the Foundation in 2012 as manager, where his efforts are primarily focused on garnering support for cancer initiatives at Baylor Health Care System. Immediately before joining the Foundation, Tim served as a director on the national major gifts team at Southern Methodist University where he managed the strategic planning and execution of their Second Century Campaign for the Eastern portion of the United States. Tim and his wife, Jennifer, are proud parents to two girls.
