As summer gives way to fall and families settle into new school-year routines, this season often brings a renewed sense of possibility. At Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation, we are beginning our new fiscal year with that same feeling—and with tremendous gratitude for all we accomplished together.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors, the Foundation raised more than $51 million in philanthropic support during fiscal year 2026, the most in our history. It’s a remarkable milestone, but the number alone doesn’t tell the full story. What matters most is the trust it represents and the work these gifts will help advance—some today and some for generations to come.
Philanthropy is helping Baylor Scott & White meet patients and families at some of the most consequential moments in their lives: when earlier detection could change the course of a cancer diagnosis, when memory loss begins to reshape a family’s future, when a critically ill patient needs a highly trained specialist or when someone experiencing homelessness has nowhere else to turn for care. Through support for the Texas Cancer Interception Institute, the Memory Center, pulmonary and critical care education, and Street Medicine, donors are helping create new possibilities for earlier intervention, greater access and more compassionate care.
Throughout the pages of The Compass, we’ve had the privilege of sharing many of the people and programs behind this work. In this issue, you will also read about the remarkable role philanthropy has played in strengthening Baylor Scott & White’s Community Care Clinics, where coordinated, compassionate care is helping change the trajectory of patients’ lives.
Each gift reflects a personal choice to make a difference. Together, those choices create momentum—supporting innovative care, preparing future physicians and extending the reach of Baylor Scott & White into communities where the need is great.
To every donor who contributed, advocated or introduced someone new to our mission: thank you. Your generosity is helping shape what comes next for healthcare in North Texas.

Letter from the Chair
One of the greatest privileges of serving as chair of the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation Board is witnessing leadership in action.
Leadership doesn’t always come with a title. Sometimes it’s a donor whose generosity launches a bold new idea. Sometimes it’s a physician who sees a better way to care for patients. Sometimes it’s a volunteer who introduces a friend to our mission or gives their time to help move our work forward.
That spirit of leadership has always defined this Foundation. It has helped us distribute more than $1 billion to advance healthcare across North Texas and contributed to a record year of philanthropy. More importantly, it continues to create opportunities for patients and families to receive exceptional care when they need it most.
This fall, we’re pleased to welcome a new class of volunteer leaders to our Foundation Board. Their willingness to serve reflects a tradition that has strengthened this organization for decades, and I’m grateful to every board member who helps champion our mission throughout the community. You’ll learn more about these outstanding individuals elsewhere in this issue.
As you turn the pages of The Compass, you’ll see how leadership continues to shape the future of healthcare—from expanding access to mental healthcare through innovative partnerships to building a nationally recognized model of community-based care that has served North Texans for two decades. You’ll also see the power of volunteers and philanthropists coming together once again through Celebrating Women, where leadership and generosity continue to accelerate progress against breast cancer.
