Featured guest
This year, we’re honored to welcome Jackie Tohn as our featured guest.
You may know Jackie from her role in Netflix’s hit series Nobody Wants This, but her impact extends far beyond the screen. An actress, writer, producer and stand-up comedian, Jackie is known for her authenticity, humor and ability to connect with audiences through both laughter and vulnerability.
Earlier this year, Jackie publicly shared her decision to undergo a preventive double mastectomy after learning she carries the BRCA1 gene mutation. Influenced in part by her father’s diagnosis of metastatic male breast cancer, she has become a powerful voice for hereditary cancer awareness and genetic testing.

As a mother-daughter team, Courtney (left) and Cheryl embody the spirit at the heart of Celebrating Women—generations of women coming together to support one another and create hope for those facing breast cancer. Together, they share a passion for expanding access to early detection, advancing innovative research and ensuring more women and families receive the care and support they need.

Celebrating Women Honorary Chairs
When we think about the leaders whose support and commitment have defined Celebrating Women over the years, Shelle and Dr. Michael Sills are among the very first who come to mind. We’re delighted to announce they are serving as the 2026 Celebrating Women Honorary Chairs.
For nearly two decades, they have helped shape Celebrating Women through their generosity, leadership and unwavering belief in this mission. Their steadfast support of Baylor Scott & White and passionate advocacy for advancing breast cancer research and care have inspired countless others to join this effort. We look forward to celebrating their remarkable contributions at this year’s luncheon.
Meredith Land
Moderator
Meredith Land co-anchors NBC 5 News at 5 & 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and also reports. Meredith joined NBC 5 in October of 2003, after four years at the NBC affiliate in Charleston, S.C., where she was the morning anchor and lead investigative reporter.
Over the years, Meredith has been recognized for her extensive work in the field. Meredith was awarded a National Gracie Award for her report about a groundbreaking treatment that stopped a young girl’s seizures.
She has been nominated for five Lone Star Emmy awards and has won investigative reporting awards from the Associated Press, RTNDA (Radio-Television News Directors Association) and South Carolina Broadcaster’s Association. She was also awarded a STAR award for producing and reporting a 30-minute special from Afghanistan.
Meredith serves as co-chair of the National Advisory Board for the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health, and is involved in Children’s Cancer Fund.
Meredith graduated from Clemson University with a major in English and a minor in Journalism. She lives in Dallas with her husband and two children.
