Celebrating Women names Cheryl Joyner and Courtney Joyner Gage 2026 co-chairs
At a recent dinner with friends, Courtney Joyner Gage found herself in a conversation that has become increasingly common among women her age—talking about genetic testing, risk and the reality of breast cancer showing up earlier than expected. For her and her mother, Cheryl Joyner, those moments have taken on new weight this year.
Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation has named the mother-daughter pair as co-chairs of the 2026 Celebrating Women Luncheon, marking a unique, multigenerational leadership team to help advance the fight against breast cancer. This year’s luncheon will be held at the Hilton Anatole on Friday, October 30.
Cheryl’s connection to Celebrating Women spans many years. After serving as underwriting chair in 2019, she saw firsthand the impact this community can have in advancing breast cancer education, research and patient care through Baylor Scott & White Health. That experience deepened her commitment to the mission and reinforced her belief in the life-saving power of early detection. A dedicated civic leader, Cheryl has generously shared her time and talents with numerous organizations across North Texas, including The Crystal Charity Ball, Junior League of Collin County, Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas and Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep.
For Courtney, the mission is deeply personal because she has seen breast cancer become an increasingly common reality among women in her own generation. As conversations about genetic risk, prevention and survivorship become more frequent among women in their 30s and 40s, she has become a passionate advocate for increasing awareness and access to care for younger women.
She believes every woman deserves the opportunity to understand her risk, access timely screening and receive the support needed to navigate a diagnosis with confidence and hope. Professionally, she serves as Head of Client Service and Philanthropy at Align Impact, where she helps families align their charitable giving, investments and legacy planning with their values.
Throughout her career, she has remained committed to helping families create meaningful impact in their communities and has been recognized as a People Newspapers “20 Under Forty” honoree for her professional and philanthropic leadership.
Together, Cheryl and Courtney bring a shared commitment to thoughtful philanthropy and a deep belief in the power of community to change lives. They are honored to help lead Celebrating Women and advance a mission that continues to bring hope, healing and possibility to women and families across North Texas.
