Since its inception, Celebrating Women has raised more than $43 million to advance breast cancer research, clinical trials and compassionate patient care.

Highlights from the 2025 luncheon
Carolyn & Lindsay: Leading with heart
Co-chairs Carolyn Brown and Lindsay Ballotta opened the luncheon with a message of friendship, courage and hope. Nearly 10 years after her own diagnosis, Carolyn shared how Celebrating Women offered support during her treatment and continues to give strength to survivors and their families.
Amy Zicarelli’s story of resilience
One of the most powerful moments of the program was Amy Zicarelli’s story—a Baylor Scott & White patient whose experience with triple-negative breast cancer shows the impact of research funded by Celebrating Women.
Honoring Dr. Joyce O’Shaughnessy
This year, we celebrated the extraordinary career of Dr. Joyce O’Shaughnessy, whose four decades of research have transformed outcomes for women with breast cancer.
In her honor, we announced the Dr. Joyce O’Shaughnessy Endowment for Innovation and Hope in Breast Cancer, which will support innovative, real-time clinical trials for patients who have no existing treatment options.

Our featured guest, Clea Shearer, co-founder of The Home Edit, shared her honest and emotional story of survivorship—brought to life through a heartfelt conversation with moderator Pat Smith.
Celebrating the Mary Kay Ash Foundation
This year’s Circle of Care Award honored the Mary Kay Ash Foundation for their decades-long commitment to funding cancer research and empowering survivors across North Texas.
