In every great organization, progress depends on people who are driven by purpose and equipped to lead through change. This issue highlights three examples of that truth at work across Baylor Scott & White.

Our system CEO, Pete McCanna, offers a compelling vision for what healthcare can and must become. His commitment to redesigning the continuum of care around the needs of the customer is transformative. And he is in a position to do something about it. His leadership sets a powerful tone for all of us who believe healthcare should feel personal, connected and intuitive.

This theme continues with the appointment of Christina Goodman as Foundation president. In any organization, building a strong bench is essential. In our case, the most exceptional candidate for this role emerged from within—someone who knows our Mission, our values, our donors and our community with extraordinary depth. Christina’s vision, relationships and commitment to collaboration assure us that the Foundation’s next chapter is in excellent hands.

And finally, we celebrate Dr. Joyce O’Shaughnessy, whose decades of scientific discovery and compassionate care were honored at this year’s Celebrating Women Luncheon. Her recognition reflected her contributions and the collective strength of the village that supports every woman facing breast cancer.

These stories remind us that leadership rooted in purpose changes lives. With your partnership, we will continue building a future defined by connection, compassion and innovation.
