LeAnn Rimes Joins Celebrating Women as Featured Guest

Multi-platinum-selling recording artist is the keynote speaker for the 24th annual luncheon.

The Celebrating Women Luncheon, Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation’s signature event dedicated to raising awareness and support for the fight against breast cancer in North Texas, is set to make a profound impact again this year with the exciting addition of LeAnn Rimes as the featured guest.

International multi-platinum-selling singer, award-winning songwriter and talented actress LeAnn Rimes has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her powerful vocals and soulful performances. Rising to fame at an early age, she became the youngest solo artist to take home a Grammy Award at 14 years old. With 63 singles released throughout her expansive career, LeAnn’s ballad “How Do I Live” holds the record as Billboard’s Hot 100 all-time #1 hit by a female artist and currently ranks #6 on Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time: Hot 100 Songs” list. Last year, the world-renowned singer released her 19th album, god’s work, which was listed as #9 on Variety’s “The Best Albums of 2022.” Throughout her illustrious career, LeAnn has amassed an impressive collection of awards and accolades, showcasing her incredible talent and unwavering passion for her craft.

Beyond her musical achievements, LeAnn has also been an avid supporter of various charitable causes, including those related to health and cancer awareness. Having witnessed the impact of breast cancer on the lives of loved ones and fans alike, she holds a deep commitment to advancing the fight. LeAnn has consistently used her platform to advocate for awareness on all women’s health issues, cancer research, patient support and early detection initiatives, becoming an inspirational figure for those fighting this devastating disease.

In addition to announcing LeAnn as the featured guest, the Foundation has also revealed this year’s honorary chairs: Carmen and Jeff York. The Yorks have been steadfast supporters of patients and families facing a cancer diagnosis, consistently demonstrating their commitment to improving the lives of those battling this disease.

“We are honored to have Carmen and Jeff York serve as this year’s honorary chairs,” said Ben Renberg, Foundation president. “Their engagement and support of those facing a cancer diagnosis is unmatched, and we are humbled by the opportunity to recognize their tireless efforts to impact the lives of these patients and families throughout their cancer journeys.”

Out of his personal cancer diagnosis, Jeff not only found new strength and purpose, but also the opportunity to bring his message of positivity to a group of people who need it most. Jeff became a Baylor Scott & White volunteer and brings a positive light to infusion rooms when he is there for treatments. From uplifting patients to honoring the passion and commitment of the dedicated oncology physicians and nurses, Jeff inspires those on their own cancer journey, all while he continues his. In addition to his personal ministry and dedication of time, Jeff and Carmen have given significantly to help patients and families facing a cancer diagnosis through their generous support of Hope Lodge and patient navigation at Baylor Scott & White.

The Celebrating Women Luncheon has become an annual beacon of hope in the fight against breast cancer in North Texas. Through the generous support of community donors, corporate sponsors, luncheon attendees and dedicated committee members, the event has raised more than $38 million to advance breast cancer research, enhance patient care and provide much-needed support services for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

The 24th Annual Celebrating Women Luncheon will be held Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. For more information on sponsorships, tickets or how you can get involved in this year’s effort, visit BSWHealth.com/CelebratingWomen.
