Meet the Co-chairs
Cheryl Joyner
Cheryl Joyner brings years of philanthropic leadership to Celebrating Women, shaped by direct involvement in the luncheon and a strong belief in the impact of early breast cancer detection.
After serving as underwriting chair for the luncheon in 2019, she saw firsthand how the event advances education, research, and innovative care at Baylor Scott & White Health. That experience solidified her commitment to the mission.
A longtime civic leader in North Texas, Cheryl has held senior volunteer roles across health and education nonprofits, including Crystal Charity Ball, the Junior League of Collin County, and multiple school boards. Serving as Celebrating Women co‑chair alongside her daughter reflects a shared commitment to access, early detection, and thoughtful philanthropy that improves outcomes for women and families.
Courtney Joyner Gage
Courtney Joyner Gage’s commitment to Celebrating Women is rooted in what she has witnessed firsthand: breast cancer affecting women at younger ages and persistent gaps in access to screening, care and navigation. Conversations once considered unusual—about genetic risk, recurrence and preventative treatment—have become increasingly common among women in their 30s and 40s, underscoring the urgency of this work.
Professionally, as head of client service and philanthropy at Align Impact, Courtney works at the intersection of philanthropy, family engagement and values‑aligned investing, helping families deploy their resources with intention and impact. Her community involvement and leadership have earned recognition as a People Newspapers “20 Under Forty” honoree.
Serving alongside her mother, Courtney is honored to support a cause that strengthens access, outcomes and hope for women and their families.
