Christina Goodman named president of Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation
Philanthropy plays a vital role at Baylor Scott & White Health—strengthening care, advancing discovery and ensuring patients and families have the support they need when it matters most. This work requires leadership grounded in purpose, collaboration and heart—qualities that define Christina Goodman.
This fall, Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation proudly named her as its new president—the first woman to serve in the role in the Foundation’s history.
Christina brings nearly 20 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, including the past decade spent building meaningful partnerships, motivating teams and advancing development efforts at the Foundation. Her leadership is rooted in mission, connection and a steadfast belief in what communities can achieve together.
Kristi Sherrill, chief philanthropy officer for Baylor Scott & White, shared the news at the Foundation’s board meeting in September.
“Christina has an exceptional ability to bring out the best in those around her. Her leadership fosters collaboration and strengthens teams while advancing our shared Mission with purpose and integrity.”

Leadership shaped by philanthropy
Christina’s career has been defined by the belief that philanthropy is most powerful when it’s personal. Over the past decade at the Foundation, she has worked closely with donors, physicians and caregivers to bring meaningful change to life-advancing research, expanding care for families across North Texas and supporting programs that strengthen the experience for patients and their families.
Most recently, as vice president of development, she led the Foundation to a record-breaking fundraising year in FY25, securing nearly $39 million to accelerate impact across Baylor Scott & White.
Christina’s leadership has been acknowledged with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s 40 Under 40 Award, Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business Outstanding Young Alumni Award and her selection for the prestigious Leadership Dallas program. These honors reflect her ability to bring people together around a shared vision—and move that vision toward real and lasting impact.
Yet for Christina, the work remains grounded in gratitude. “There have been two constants throughout my time here,” she said. “The privilege of advancing mission-driven work in partnership with our physicians and caregivers, and the meaningful relationships I’ve been fortunate to build with our team, our donors and our community.”

“Mom, you’re raising Texans now”
Christina also shared a glimpse into the life that grounds her: her husband and three children—her “Baylor babies,” as she lovingly refers to them. “Life is never dull,” she joked, referencing a recent quick visit to the emergency department for one of her daughters, “but I’m grateful to bring my beautiful chaos here to Baylor.”
Originally from Alabama, Christina came to Texas 25 years ago to attend SMU. “I’m proud to be raising my family here in Dallas,” she said. “As my son likes to remind me: ‘Mom, you’re raising Texans now.’”
Looking ahead
Christina is focused on the future with optimism and heart. “I’m deeply excited for what lies ahead,” she said.
“Philanthropy has the power to transform healthcare. It is an honor to help lead that transformation together.”

With Christina’s leadership and the generosity of philanthropists across North Texas and beyond, the Foundation is poised to continue turning compassion into impact, shaping the next chapter in advancing exceptional healthcare for our communities.
