A leader in the non-profit and healthcare community for more than three decades, Peggy has been a faithful friend to Celebrating Women for many years after watching her aunt and many close friends bravely battle breast cancer. This mission is deeply personal to her and she is honored to help advance the fight for women in North Texas in her role as the 2020 Celebrating Women Chairman.
A dedicated community leader, Peggy has generously lent her time and energy to numerous civic organizations. She has served as Sustainer President of the Junior League of Dallas, Chairman of the Linz Award Luncheon, and as a board member of The Hockaday School, KERA/North Texas Public Broadcasting and Camp John Marc. In addition, Peggy has also served in leadership positions on behalf of North Texas philanthropic events and organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Tablescapes event, Treasure Street event, Legends Gala featuring Jay Leno, and the Tartan Golf Classic. Peggy is currently involved with the Crystal Charity Ball, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, Junior League Sustainer Leadership Council and the Hockaday Parents Association.
Professionally, Peggy is the Director of Community Relations at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, where she previously served as the Vice President of Public Relations for 13 years. In her role at Scottish Rite, she serves on the leadership team preparing for the hospital’s Centennial Celebration in 2021.
Peggy received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. Her husband, Dr. Dan Meyer, is the Chief of Advanced Cardiac Circulatory Support and Chief of Cardiac Transplantation at Baylor Scott & White Health. Together they are the proud parents of two teenagers, Ben, a senior at Highland Park High School, and Margot, a junior at The Hockaday School.
Jill has been a community leader, volunteer and legal advocate for more than 25 years. A 15-year breast cancer survivor, she is also a grateful patient of Baylor Scott & White Health and credits her caregivers with helping her through her triple-positive breast cancer diagnosis and years of treatment. She has been a passionate supporter in the fight against breast cancer and long-time Celebrating Women committee member and supporter. She is honored to help advance this important mission by serving as the 2020 Celebrating Women underwriting chairman.
Jill’s extensive leadership experience includes serving the North Texas community through her membership on boards such as The Arts Community Alliance (TACA), The Family Place, The Aaron Family Jewish Community Center and Highland Park Lacrosse, Inc. In addition to her board service, she has been a leader and advocate for many philanthropic causes, serving as Ball Chair for The Cattle Baron’s Ball, as president of the Armstrong Bradfield Preschool Association, and as a member of the UCLA Centennial Social Sciences Campaign Committee, UCLA Political Science Board of Advisors and the Texas McCombs BBA Parents Council.
Jill is a graduate of The University of California Los Angeles and Loyola Law School. She is licensed to practice law in California, New York and Texas and serves her clients throughout the country. Jill is the proud mother of two athletic, compassionate and engaging sons, Kyle, who attends UT Austin McCombs School of Business, and Jason, a Highland Park High School senior.
