Clea Shearer is the co-founder of The Home Edit, a mother, a wife, and most recently, a breast cancer survivor. Having grown-up in Los Angeles, she graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City, and currently resides in Nashville. Ten years ago, Clea, and her co-founder, Joanna Teplin started The Home Edit – a global home and lifestyle company with the goal of reinventing traditional home organizing and merging it with design. The Home Edit has become a household name with a social following of over 9.8 million people; three New York Times bestselling books, The Home Edit, The Home Edit Life, and The Home Edit: Stay Organized; a successful line of organizational products sold in over 31 countries; and an Emmy-nominated Netflix show, Get Organized with The Home Edit. In 2025, the pair made their debut as host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition airing on ABC and streaming on Hulu. Philanthropically, Clea has been on the board of trustees for the Nathan Cummings Foundation for over 20 years, serves as an angel to the board of Baby2Baby, is heavily involved with the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center where she received care, and started her own breast cancer research fund through the V Foundation. In her spare time she can be found traveling, reading her kindle, and trying to learn how to cook.
2025 Celebrating Women Luncheon Co-chairs:
Lindsay Ballotta and Carolyn Brown
Longtime friends, Lindsay and Carolyn bring a personal connection to Baylor Scott & White and the Celebrating Women mission. Following Carolyn’s diagnosis with stage III triple-negative breast cancer in 2016, Lindsay was among Carolyn’s closest group of friends and loved ones who surrounded her with unwavering support throughout her journey. (Watch Carolyn’s story.)

Lindsay Ballotta has called Dallas home since graduating magna cum laude from SMU and earning her J.D. from Emory University. Deeply rooted in community service, she has held leadership roles with Crystal Charity Ball, Community Partners of Dallas, the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary and more. A devoted mom to Caroline and William, Lindsay stays active supporting their schools and extracurriculars, from horseback riding to golf. She’s also an SMU alumna reunion co-chair and an avid tennis player, traveler and Billy Joel fan. Lindsay is honored to serve as co-chair of Celebrating Women alongside her longtime friend, Carolyn Brown.
A proud Texan, Carolyn Brown is an SMU graduate and former commercial real estate attorney whose life changed with a breast cancer diagnosis in 2016. Her experience deepened her passion for supporting women facing cancer. She now serves on the board of Brighter Magazine, a lifestyle publication for women navigating cancer. Carolyn treasures time with her husband, Steve, and their son, Jack, a high school freshman and lifelong golf enthusiast. Whether traveling or enjoying quiet moments at home, Carolyn finds joy in life’s simple blessings. She is honored to co-chair Celebrating Women alongside her dear friend, Lindsay Ballotta.
