10th Anniversary Celebration
In March 2026, Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation celebrated the 10‑year anniversary of Arts in Medicine—honoring a decade of creativity, compassion and care that supports healing beyond medicine.
On a beautiful spring evening overlooking White Rock Lake, guests gathered to reflect on the meaningful role Arts in Medicine plays in the healing experience.
Because of supporters like you, healing at Baylor Scott & White Health extends beyond medicine. For more than a decade, your generosity has helped bring the Arts in Medicine (AIM) program to life at Baylor University Medical Center — using music, visual art and creative expression to support physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Your support makes this kind of healing possible.
Comfort, clinical support and presence at every stage of care.
Because of your generosity, music therapy brings both comfort and clinical benefit to patients across the hospital. Board-certified music therapists, music practitioners and a certified music thanatologist provide individualized vocal and instrumental support at the bedside. These evidence-based interventions help reduce ICU delirium, manage anxiety and pain, and offer meaningful presence for patients receiving palliative or end-of-life care. In the NICU, music therapy supports neurological development, promotes weight gain and helps stabilize oxygen levels in premature infants.
Creative expression that supports patients, caregivers and staff.
Your support enables licensed art therapists to guide patients, caregivers and clinical staff through creative experiences that foster expression, emotional resilience and healing. Through painting, drawing and mixed-media activities, participants find connection, hope and stress relief — often during their most challenging moments. Beyond patient care, the program also prioritizes caregiver well-being by offering dedicated art experiences for hospital staff.
Transforming clinical spaces into places of beauty and calm.
Through your support, hospital spaces become more than clinical settings. Curated art installations, rotating exhibits and live performances weave creativity into everyday care — turning hallways and shared spaces into places of reflection, comfort and connection.
