The Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation team strives to serve donors in their philanthropic efforts to help Baylor achieve its mission to serve all people through exemplary health care, education, research and community service.
Vice President, FinanceBefore coming to the Foundation, Amy spent 12 years in public accounting, working in a variety of industries but focusing primarily on health care and consumer products. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting at Oklahoma State University and a master’s in business administration from Baylor University. She and her husband, Jim, have two children.
Vice President, Operations and AdministrationJennifer Massey is responsible for the Foundation’s annual fundraising campaigns, events, stewardship initiatives, donor loyalty programs, donor recognition and service line strategy. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas State University in San Marcos and a master’s in business administration from Texas Woman’s University. Jennifer and her husband, Dane, are parents to two young boys.
Vice President, DevelopmentSusan McSherry leads all operating activities that support frontline fundraising initiatives, including donor relations, planned giving and marketing and communications efforts for the Foundation. Susan is a graduate of The University of Texas with more than 25 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and client relations roles. Susan served as president of the Junior League of Dallas and is an active member in Crystal Charity Ball. Susan is the proud mom of two teenage daughters, Hannah and Camille.
DirectorLynn Bohne is a development director for the Foundation whose primary areas of responsibility include Heart & Vascular at BHVH & The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, Orthopedics, Neuroscience/Memory Center and the following community hospitals; McKinney, Frisco/Centennial and Plano. In March 2017, she joined the Foundation after seven years of higher education fundraising, where she was a part of a billion dollar campaign. Lynn earned her bachelor’s degree in advertising/public relations from The University of Texas.
DirectorSarah Burdi is a development director for the Foundation whose primary areas of responsibility include oncology and research initiatives and Baylor community hospitals in Carrollton, Grapevine and Plano. She is also responsible for radiology and Canine Companions for Independence® - Kinkeade Campus. Sarah joined the Foundation after seven years as assistant vice president with the Inova Health System Foundation in Virginia, where she directed a fundraising program that raised more than $68 million. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Gettysburg College. She and her husband, Tom, are the proud parents of two children.
DirectorMelissa Dalton is a development director whose primary areas of focus include transplant, heart and vascular, women and children, pulmonology, dermatology, palliative care and Baylor community hospitals in Garland and Waxahachie. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was a nonprofit fundraising consultant with the John B. Cummings Company where she was primarily responsible for coordinating campaign activities. Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Texas A&M University.
ManagerCraig Foster is a development manager for the Foundation whose primary areas of responsibility include Emergency Medicine, Mission and Ministry, Medical Education, Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (Dallas), Gastroenterology, Arts in Medicine, and the Baylor Scott & White Health and Wellness Center at the Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center. In December 2013, he joined the Foundation after working in marketing and development in pediatric healthcare. Craig received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Mississippi State University and his master’s in business administration from The University of Texas at Dallas. He and his wife, Meredith, have three children.
Vice PresidentCynthia Krause is vice president of gift planning for the Foundation where she works with donors and their advisors in structuring complex gifts of outright assets and estate gifts. She also leads the Foundation’s charitable gift planning program. A graduate of Baylor University and Baylor University School of Law, she has worked in private practice and in the field of charitable gift planning with nonprofit organizations, individuals, families and family foundations for more than 25 years. Cynthia’s husband, David, is president and chief executive officer of the Parkland Foundation. Together, they have three children.
DirectorAmy Monday is responsible for securing grants from private foundations and corporations. She is also responsible for initiatives related to Baylor’s Community Care Clinics, the Diabetes Health and Wellness Institute and the Institute for Health Care Research and Improvement. She came to the Foundation from the University of North Texas, where she worked for 11 years in the Office of Advancement. As director of corporate and foundation relations at UNT, she developed strategies to secure philanthropic grant funding for the university and provided grant writing oversight. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Florida.
