The cardiovascular fellowship program at Baylor University Medical Center has trained more than 100 fellows since its inception in 1968. The three-year program trains 12 fellows annually, at a cost of nearly $90,000 per fellow. Each year, the Foundation commits nearly $300,000 each year to support this program and there are two ways donors can make a meaningful impact in this effort:
Support the Pomeroy and Betty Smith Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular EducationAs chairholder of the Pomeroy and Betty Smith Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Education, Dr. Michael Sills hopes to build the endowment to provide support in perpetuity for the cardiovascular fellowship program. The endowment is currently more than $1 million—your gift to this fund can make a long-term impact in training future generations of cardiovascular fellows.
