Twenty outstanding business, community and philanthropic leaders have joined the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation Board, bringing with them the expertise needed to help shape the direction of the Foundation in its mission to serve our region. Norm Bagwell will serve as board chairman for his second year.
Board members serve as ambassadors of the Baylor Scott & White Health mission to promote the well-being of all individuals, families and communities. Formed in 1978 with the sole purpose of generating charitable support for Baylor Scott & White, the Foundation has disbursed more than $650 million to the Baylor Scott & White system in support of clinical care, research, education and capital needs for the citizens and communities in North Texas.
“We are at the start of a new era of healthcare — one that has the opportunity to positively impact the people we serve every day in our mission to keep our communities well,” Rowland K. Robinson, president of the Foundation, said. “The men and women who have chosen to commit their time and talents to making this vision a reality are truly exceptional people who will help us drive this change. We look forward to benefiting from their insight and experience as we forge a new direction in care."
The Foundation has benefited from the selfless service of board members who have completed their terms this year. With gratitude, we honor the work of the following former board members: Denny Alberts, Anita R. Arnold, Darron K. Ash, Richard P. Bernstein, Lauren Combest, Edward C. Coppola, Jr., Linda P. Custard, Tucker Enthoven, Mark D. Gibson, Barry Henry, Norman A. Lofgren, Annette C. Simmons, Shannon B. Skokos, Patrick S. Wallace and Trea Yip.
